I guess I caused this guy to get in the dog house with his wife today. I was getting on the Nomad and leaving from a shopping center. This couple had just got out of their car. The fella stopped in his tracks to watch me back out and drive off. His wife had kept walking toward the mall entrance and then realized he was not walking with her. As I drove by him I could hear her saying to him 'what are you doing'....he was still watching me. :-*

Honestly, after last weekend, I think it has been good. But, we live in Burns (near Dickson), and we never ran out anyway. Some stations were out, but from what I understand it had more to do with the stations not being big enough to have guaranteed contracts, so they were forced to buy at wholesale prices, which were at or above $5 a gallon after the hurricanes hit, so many stations (one big one is MAPCO) actually decided to just run out and close down until the wholesale price came back down. I guess they figured they'd have to sell at a loss if they paid $5+ per gallon wholesale.

I think a lot of people around here just panicked. It really wasn't that bad as far as I am concerned. I was upset on Friday evening after work (9/19) because people were panicking, and I had to ride the nomad home on fumes, but just got out on Saturday and got gas for the car and a can for the bike. Only real issue seems to be finding a station that has all three grades.

Yeah formickec....we were at Savanah TN last weekend spending the night while checking out the 'trail of tears' and so was whatching the Nasville News. That's what they kept saying. People were panicking...but you know lots of times the news probably makes it worse and causes some folks to panic.

Beautiful Saturday

The day started gloomy in my head and turned to sunshine all around in the first couple of minutes.
