I have the larger lowers and 2.5 inch risers from him. He is very cheap. I think I got both of them for 100 bucks and that included shipping.

Welcome aboard from Indiana. I'm 6'4, 270 lbs. and have the Grasshopper and truly love it. It does sit you up pretty straight, but it feels great on your lower back. I do remove it (1 seconds) when my wife decides to ride two up instead of riding her own. You can put the backrest in a vise and bend it slightly for tweaking.

Welcome
From the great white north, eh.

Can't comment on the risers or back rest. I just got my 08 and haven't changed anything yet. Although I ordered a set of Phat II risers. I wish I would have seen Chucksters before I ordered and saved a bunch of $$$.

Welcome to the NoMaD NaTiOn from the Grand Canyon State! Congrats on your new Nomad! You're going to love it!

I have Chuckster's 3" risers and they do bring the bars about 1" or so closer to you. I can't remember the exact price, but I'm sure it was less than $50. Contact Chuckster1 (Joe Norris) at [email:j2el4i9d]chuckster1_31@comcast.net[/email:j2el4i9d] for more information. Joe is a great guy and makes quality stuff at a fair price. He also has very quick turnaround.

I have an '07 Nomad (the fast black one), and I bought it one year ago yesterday! I couldn't stand the stock seat so I bought a Mustang studded wide touring seat with rider backrest. The combination of the comfortable seat, backrest, and highway pegs make my bike like a rolling La-Z-Boy.

So, grab a beer from the cooler, pull up a chair and make yourself at home - you've just made some new friends.

Even though chucksters risers are straight (no pull back) they will still bring the handlebars up and back due to the angle of the triple trees. I don't think the backrest will push you too far forward I had the same concern and I emailed Todd about it before I bought one since I knew he had one and he's a big guy (6' 4" or so) he replied "It puts you forward just a very very small amount..and not enough to bother...you hardly notice it. There is very little infringement on the passengers area...very minimal too." I have long legs and I personally found the back rest to put me in a better riding position so I wasn't sitting on my tailbone on the back of the raised edge of the seat so much.

The risers are nice because if you're like idaho and I the stock handlebars hit you in the legs on full lock turns! The risers made the bike easier for me to maneuver at parking lot speeds for that reason.

I do notice more vibration though.

Welcome from the great State of Washington! I am 6'2" and have Grasshopper's backrest....it does not put you too far forward. I actually wouldn't mind it a little farther forward.

Welcome Aboard.
