Tig Welding

Does anyone on here tig weld? I was thinking we should combine our talents and come up with a round tube solo rack curved to fit the fender since no one apparently makes them. I have been thinking of the best way to do it but I don't tig weld (I do mig weld). Plus I don't know anyone that does chroming. Any ideas?

Bobby, Jim isn't set up for TIG. I did some at the plant in the late 80's. We aren't set up for it anymore. We always contract a third party. The link below is a Mom & Pop chrome shop in Madisonville, LA. It is located just a few miles West of Mandeville on LA-22. He does beautiful work.

Tig Welding

If one of our members in Washington state would go to Motherwells they may use his bike as a pattern to make us a solo rack.
Alexandra Young at Motherwells said they don't have a bike to use as a pattern.

Maybe could just powder coat it and save on the chroming . I would like to have one in black.

I suggested the same thing rick. Powder coating would be cheaper for sure.
