Vaquero Antenna Top/Knob

Does anybody know how to remove the top knob of the radio antenna? (If it can be removed, that is).
I pulled on it, and tried to unscrew with little force, I didn't want to break it.
I want to put a antenna flag on it.
Thanks,
Mark

Why not take off the antenna and put the flag on from the bottom ?

If you mean the big rubber tip, you should be able to just pull it off. not really a trick to it.
if you mean the small tip like a regular radio antenna I don't believe it comes off.

Antenna

Lost my antenna by leaving it on bike on fender....the one I bought to replace it had the knob separate....never put it on....I imagine it will come off.

I tried to place a flag on my antenna, and had very little luck keeping it upright, after getting up to highway speeds it would lay over, and I could not find a way to tighten the swivel mount.

The smallest flag will bend the antenna over time. Two short rides mine was getting a bend in it. I like to fly the flag, but I got to find a better way.

I bought two of these from Pro Pad. They are pricey but are excellent quality, and the stainless steel will never rust. And no, I don't work for them, no kickbacks, or whatever.

If your interested in putting flags on your bike, check the ones on my voyager. I purchased a flag kit package from Rumbling Pride. You get two mounts, two flag poles, and two flags for around $80. I've put over 2,000 miles on my bike since installing them and have had no problems whatsoever.
