It may be to far for you so soon after surgery but I'm riding up to Laconia on the 20th if you want to go.

Good news I'm still here... The surgery went well. No real pain just stiff which should go away in a few days. I was told I could start driving on Thurs. and start rehabbing the knee. Laconia is 3-4 hrs from me if I remember when I did the white mountain ride. That's probably a bit far but if things continue to do this well next weekend could be an option if you and martin are around.

Glad the surgery went well. Are you talking about the weekend of the 6th and 7th or 13th and 14th? I can do the 6th, 7th, or 13th. The bike will be in the shop from the 14th thru the 19th.

To bad the ride isn't now. You would get to see the search teams up there in NY state.

Looks like I might be out of this ride. Found out today that the network upgrade we had scheduled for the middle of August was pushed up to the first two weekends of August. This is totally going to screw up my plans for Comic Con in Boston on the 1st and the ride to Burlington on the 8th. I am trying to learn more about the logistics and see if there is anything I can do to get out of it.

Sometimes I really hate my job.

I'm sure any route you guys take will be enjoyable, just remember in Vermont we have pot holes.
Lots of pot holes, they have let most of our roads deteriorate. I will look for your final itinerary,
and see if I can meet with you.

At least Comic Con has a Friday date if you can make it to that unless you're looking to meet specific people at the event.

Update on the trip

I'm going to need to cancel the trip as of now. My friends mother is not feeling well and will need to be in the hospital. She is not sure when but it could be the weekend of the trip.

when the trip is rescheduled It's going to be for 4 days and 3 nights. After doing a few 250+ rides I feel there would not be enough time to enjoy the sites and make stops along the way. We would be to rushed with 300 miles each day.

There did not seem to be much interest anyways but if anyone wants to know when the trip will be rescheduled please send me a private message and I'll keep you up to date.

Right now Hillhouse is meeting us in schroon Lake on Sat and ride the rest of the way with us. if you want more info or are considering doing part or all the ride shoot me a message.

Make sure you bring some warm clothes. It will be cold up there in the mornings.

High 40's low 50's in the am. Probably bring my fall jacket and gloves vs my mesh. If I have room I'll take both as its supposed to get into the 70's during the days. Got the luggage rack mounted just for the trip so Laura can bring a extra bag.

It was freezing this morning when I left Colchester. I had on gloves and leather and had my crash bar chaps on and it wasn't enough. Should have packed my chaps.

This time of year it is usually about 50* in the mornings cooler at higher elevations.
70* during the day is average as well. Enjoy riding through Vt.
