Waving Winter Project

Hey guys& Gals
I'm not new to the forum, long time creeper first time poster lol! I have a few projects for the '08 nad over the winter! I just bought a used King tour pac for which I will be welding up a bracket to be used in conjuction with the hand rails on the bike now, I just ordered my Reckless fairing and I am going to completely repaint the beast. What I would like to know is if anyone has removed the signal lights from the rear fender and placed them on the bags? If so which lights did you get and where did you get them? I'm also considering eliminating the saddlebag strips and just filling in the indents. I've been looking at all the beauties on the forum and can't wait till mine is done!
Thanks for all your help and wealth of information!!

Welcome to the forum. I have seen that mod done on Nomads. If you scan through some of the pictures, you should be able to see some examples. Most that have done it have used quick disconnects as their coupler.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with all the projects. There are several bikes on here with the stips removed and filled in and painted. Some have removed the strips and just removed the resin without filling in the groove.

I talked to a guy at the Carlisle Bike Fest that had lights on his bags. He said they were '39 Ford lights. He bought them from a hotrod supply store, but I can't remember the name. I'm thinking about using these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

Ok here goes nothin' ! I'm gonna try to post a link . I found these lights on ebay, they are actually marker lights for semi truck cabs.

I'm hoping to actually get rid of the center stem and put these on the bags
