Sorry for the late reply. I am not on the forum much anymore. Regardless, thanks to those who took the time to wish me a happy birthday either here or on Facebook.
Ann and I have been very busy since returning from our vacation.

In preparation of selling our house we have rented and filled a fairly large dumpster, gathered up a bunch of clothes, blankets, pictures and other household goods to donate to charity and packed numerous additional boxes to take to storage. I put in vinyl tile floors in a bathroom and laundry room. Put new baseboards in that bathroom, trimmed out a window in another bathroom. Then we had the carpet replaced in our upstairs (and staircase), replaced the kitchen laminate countertops/backsplash with granite/ceramic tile, had a textured ceiling repaired and painted, in addition to a few rooms getting a fresh coat of paint.

We spent a lot of time cleaning, touching up paint and putting liquid gold on all of our stained wooden trim throughout a 2 story house. And then we cleaned again.

Meanwhile at the new house, there was a 3 week delay waiting on HVAC contractor, but we now have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical rough-in nearly done. I suspect (hope) we'll have drywall by the end of the week. Our expected closing date is at the end of September, but it may slide into the first week of October.

Good luck with all of it, Glenn. I know you and Ann will be glad you went to all this trouble when it's done.

About 10 years ago, Kathy and I decided to design and have built our dream home.... But it turned out to be too big for the both of us and we sold it and bought a smaller home to retire in.
