Check your tire pressure, usually thats the cause of what you describe. Try it at 40 lbs and see if that helps.
Check the online shop manual available here on the sight, and it will give you the rotor specs.

Probably the tire pressure as Steve suggests. Don't think rotors or pads would cause what you have described. What are the current tires you are now running? Then can recommend the best air pressure.

It might be worthwhile to mention what year Nomad and how many miles on it.

I'm curious, but applying brakes while already in a curve, are you not asking to get an unstable response. I was always taught, it takes traction to corner and traction to brake. Any braking you do in a curve takes away from the available traction to corner. If I do brake in a curve, it is ever so lightly when I'm not leaning very much.

If you need to correct in a corner, you need to stand the bike up straight to brake and not loose traction. You should be adjusting your speed before a corner, so as to not cause yourself a problem. I'm not scoulding, as I have had to make adjustments myself. Just becareful when you do it.
Check your tire pressure. Do you have enough fluid in the forks?

i aprreciate the tips on tire pressure - the tires that are on it now are Metzeler ME 880 Marathon fron & rear. Tread depth is just shy of 1/4" on front & almost 5/16" on rear. Both seem to be worn evenly. Will bring each one up to 40# and check it out . apologize for not being more clear about curve : an unfamiliar road presented a flat hairpin curve on the opposite side of a hill, immediatly followed by a traffic light that regulates flow on a county hwy. equal braking took place suddenly. front end just felt a little weak. Thanks again ;gotta run.

Those are brand new tires if you have that much tread on them.
Nomads do have a less rigid frame than a lot of bikes, especially if you came from a sport bike backround. Thats why you may have felt it wallowing through a corner. Under the right circumstances and road conditions they really can feel sloppy for a moment.
