Larry the Flagman... you've got to see this...

Larry “The Flagman” Eckhardt is from my state of Illinois (Little York, IL).

He has done this twice in the town I came from (Pekin, IL); and as of this report he has done this 86 times. As it is mentioned... he hopes each time is his last.

This is truly amazing to see this, and is extremely humbling to witness -- even on video.

Hope you enjoy... and think for a moment about the young men and women we are losing to the terror of war.

I think we need less of the people he's flying the flags for. Time to pull all our troops home from all foreign bases and stop being to world's policeman.

I met him when he set up flags in Henderson KY. My chapter of Rolling Thunder and 2 other chapters were riding escort from the Evansville IN airport to the funeral home in Henderson.

Awesome sight to ride by all those flags and all the spectators holding flags.

In my "hometown" there was nearly 10 miles of flags on both sides of the road with the entire town lining the road.

As mentioned... this happened twice in Pekin, Illinois.

Basically the entire town closed-down, literally, to witness this and pay respect. The schools were allowed to be out to stand along the road and give their respect. I believe in allowing the younger people the opportunity to witness this provided them with a stark reality of what our freedom costs, and the "real" sacrifices some have given to help protect it.

Nothing is free... and you get nothing for doing nothing -- period.
