I got a pair that are an inch shorter than the stock air shocks. The bike looks great and handles a bit better but it rides harsher because of the shorter springs. If I did it again I would just use the same length progressive shock as stock. They are a great upgrade for handling.

As mentioned the Progressive shock is only available as 1 inch shorter than stock. I have Works Performance Steel Tracker shocks and am very impressed with the improved ride and handling. They are custom made to your requirements, weight, ride height (higher or lower), passenger or not, etc.

the con would be that it still rides and handles like a cruiser.

What are you looking to do lower the bike or just different shocks. If you are looking to lower check out the lowering links threads.

This way you keep your factory Air ride. Make sure you confirm they will fit your bike, I think the Vaqureo has the same setup.

Luverne Lowering Links

Just installed a set of these on my Vaq. I'm 5'8 about 165lbs. When I upgraded my stock seat to a Mustang, it sat me much higher than the stock. I could no longer plant my feet on the ground, and that made for some uneasy riding. Especially when coming to a stop, and especially when riding two up. These links lowered the bike enough so that my feet now touch the ground once again. They seem to be a quality product. All hardware included. The instructions could have included pictures for reference, and would have saved some time in trying to figure out exactly the install. But it was no big deal. Install time, including raising bike on jacks, taking off bags, some of the rear trim....a beer..... about an hour. I noticed no difference in handling. Just the added peace of mind that I can now plant my feet, without almost tip toeing.

I wonder if Ohlins makes a shock for the Voyager? I know they make them for HD and BMW. Much better than stock and rebuildable.
