Hog rider made me laugh today.

So there I was filling up the Nomad at my favorite station along the route 16. I heard a straight pipe hog coming from the east. There he was, all feet up on the highway pegs, too tall ape hangers jamming down the road. His pack was dragging along behind him. It looked so cool flopping around twisting in the wind and bouncing off the pavement. He looked over at me and nodded I, gas hose in hand just nodded back. My wife said maybe he had his ol' ladies head in it.

Well, from someone who had a hardbag decide to hop off at around 50 mph, I DO feel some sympathy for the guy.

I mean, if that kind of stuff can happen to Nomad owners...

OK, he was ridin' a Harley. All Harley riders are not aholes and some metric riders are aholes.
I think he was just enjoying the ride as he did nod to you.
I would have tried to let him know his pack was falling off some how. Don't know how, probably wave real fast and point behind his bike if possible.
But hey, that's just my opinion.

Wouldn't that have been ironic if he had been wearing the "If you can read this, the b*tch fell off!" shirt.

My brief case fell off my bike and was dragged down the road by the bungie cord for a while before I realized what happened. Good thing it is an American Tourister, because they used to test them by letting gorillas play with them.

thats the reason I try not to laugh at something like that, "cause eventually I do something that out dose that and give him something to post on a HOG board. It's hard not to snicker now.

Hog rider made me laugh today.

Had I not had gas running into my tank I would have done everything I could to have alerted him. There was no way he was going to hear me over those drag pipes, as it was I was helpless and saw the humor in the situation. I didn't say anything about the guy being an ahole. Being an ahole has nothing to do with what you ride. If that was the case and seeing how my last bike was a HD, who knows I may have a little residual ahole left in my system. We all have done crap like that for the entertainment of others. It just happened to be his turn.

Hog rider made me laugh today.

Im sure someone alerted him later on, I see a guy who had a spare helmet strapped on the back seat, it slid off to the side and was rubbing on his back tire, it was smoking nicely when he went by the opposite direction.
