Moving from Nomad to Voyager

After many year on the 2008 Nomad, I want to move to a 2012 Voyager. My question is, will my grasshopper backrest, phat risers and my Kuryakyn offset dually pegs move to the Voyager from the Nomad?

Also, I plan on stripping off all aftermarket parts before trading in the Nomad, these include an early Yamaha venture trunck mounted on a wompus rack, a Memphis Shades fairing with a high and low windshield and a set of lowers from JTD cycles.

My question is, what is a good price for the the Nomad parts as a package? Trunk was $150 or so, plus painting, all other prices are available on the net.

Thanks in advance.

The highway pegs from your Nomad will fit the Voyager. It is the same size clamp, an inch and a quarter.

Grasshopper will fit just fine. It has the same seat, as your Nomad.

The Phat risers won't work, you will hit the fairing when you turn the handlebars to full stop. If you look at D Meyers ape hangers that he makes for the Vaquero it has a bend inward toward the rider to avoid that very issue. The pegs will transfer. I gon't think the Grasshopper will work. The voyager seat is completely different.

Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get a test ride set up at a local dealer to see how I fit on the Voyager. I needed the risers on the Nomad. Too much of a reach and it hit me in the upper back.

The Voyager is not as stretched out as the 1600 Nomad.

When Kaw came out with the 1700 they redesigned the frame. They are a lot shorter you sit real close to the tank with a lot less leg room. This was a deal breaker for me. I'm tall with long legs so I bought a victory cct.
Good luck.

I had an '05 Nomad with the Grasshopper backrest when I purchased my '15 Voyager. The backrest would not work on the new Voyager.
