Risers
I have never measured the risers that "strobe" gave me with the fairing, but I think they were around 4 inch. They fit the stock cables easily. And man!! it's so comfortable. I should have done it even before the fairing.

My buddy sent Ebay links for some risers that I like but the important thing I need to know is how high that I can go without changing cables or break line.Did you reroute the cables in any way?

No need to reroute with the ones Joe (Chuckster) provided.

Phatt II is as high and back as you can go with stock cables and hoses. I had to remove them from the plastic holders closest in on the bars too. Any of the above choices will all work, but that's about it.

This is a pic of 2 1/2 inch extensions installed on a 07 Nomad. The stock riser on the 07 Nomad is 1 1/2 inch so when installed the the extensions make a 4 inch riser with 1 1/2 inch pull back (because of the triple clamps angle) and as you can see they are installed with stock cables in the stock location. Several replacement risers (that don't incorporate the stock riser) with 4 inch rise and 1-2 inch pull back (ex. Phatt II's from Scootworks) can be installed with out any change in cable or location of the cable. Taller risers (up to about 6 inch with 2 inch pull back) can also be installed but they require you relocate cable. Riders take the top triple clamp off and remove the cables from the clamp then reinstall the clamp and rout the cables behind the clamp. I don't personally like that arrangement. I'd say the answer is that on most Nomads you can safely add a 3 inch extension to the stock riser or replace the stock riser with ones of up to 4 inch rise and 2 inch pullback with out having to replace or reroute cables. If you wish more rise and pull back than that the safe approach is to replace the stock cables with longer cables and maintain the stock routing of the cables.

You can use up to 3" risers under the stockers without any problems. I would say the 2" are far the best seller with the 2 1/2" following a close 2nd.
