Exclamation Mark 2014 Rally

Please post your ideas for the summer 2014 rally in this thread.

Site of Rally:

My initial thought is to return to our roots and go back to Elkins, WV sometime in June for a few days of riding in the mountains. This is just a suggestion.

Places we have been: Elkins, WV; Stanton, VA; Maggie Valley (host of national); Townsend, TN; Helen, GA (spring rally); Blairsville, GA (fall this year).

Time of Week:

We have done it Tuesday-Thursday, to allow for travel and fit the normal vacation time frame most people have to take, Monday-Friday, with weekends to travel if needed. We have also used arrive Thursday, ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday as a travel day.

Month of Rally:

We have traditionally used June because temperatures are moderate in most places.

Ooooh, Elkins definitely has my/our vote. The Elkins Rally was our introduction to these "so-called" intelligent members of this forum (Kawanow) at that time.
Just not the weekend of June 14th and 15th 2014.

Idonno.
Todd's done went and mellowed out and nothing upsets him no more.
Rallies just ain't the same without him getting cussing somebody out or the law getting called, or bailing him outa jail.

Hell, it rained all day at the last one and he sat on the porch and talked about how relaxing it was!

WV's fine.

I'm gonna miss the old Todd. He's done went the way of the 8 track player, the Amanah radar range, manual channel change TV with vacuum tubes, and anti-establishment,stinking filthy, long haired, bare footed, dope smoking hippies, who wanted to crash at your pad until they got a job man.

Peace Man!

So, we looking at about the third week or so?

The folks that have a boot on my throat, over pay me for a job to which I hang by a thread, whom I refer to as a pack of "A" holes wanna know something, and all I can do is stand before them trembling uncontrollably, trying to keep from wetting my pants. To put it nicely.

How about Prairie du Chien, WI
It is a beautiful area on the Great River and offers some excellent riding and you will be able to stop in Savanna, IL and visit Poopy's Pub and Grub
