Just bought a 2000 Nomad 1500 (15,600 miles) this past Saturday. Some of you know me already from the Volusia Riders site and I was told from several members to check out this place. As soon as I started looking at a Nomad I was reading as much as possible about the bike and the site was very helpful. Since Saturday I already used several tips on changing the bike the way I want it. I still have my VOL and I probably will have it until it can't run any more, I love that bike. I wanted something to take longer rides on with a little more comfort. Having both bikes is a nice combo. I have always liked the look of the Nomad and have known several who swear by them. I understand why in just a short time. I have already have made it a solo bike and have several more small mods to do (for now). I will also have more questions as time goes by. I have done most of the work on my own bikes but not sure about the Nomad yet. Hope to meet some people in my area to talk to, not sure what is "normal" on this bike, all new sounds and feelings
