I'm kind of thinking out loud here, but what would it take to hook up a sound system on my bike controlled by my MP3 player (30GB Zune). Some small amp that could be remotely mounted with a jack up near the handlebars I could plug my player into, and wired to speakers mounted on the bars? I know how to do the wiring and stuff, I guess my big question is what kind of amp would I use? I'm ignorant about these things. I'd prefer a 12v amp I could mount in a saddlebag or under a side cover, so a small footprint is key. Also recommendations on speakers would be welcomed.

From the website a little more

http://www.dwgspeakers.com/

Can't get the ebay links to work, so just type waterproof speakers and it will pull up the auctions. But it now is $99, but there are some being bid on that are lower. They were almost $200 originally on the site that now has them down to $129

Thanks, that may be just the ticket. I hadn't thought of searching for aplified motorcycle speakers. They have them in chrome, also.

I've been told the chrome ones will blind you and you're better off with the black which is what I ordered.

Hey guys, last week I purchased the low profile system from UNIQ Cycle Sounds for $275.00 plus freight. Installed it on Saturday in about 2 hours. I must say that for the money, I am very impressed. Even at speeds of 80 mph, music is crisp and clear. Comes with a 150watt amplifier. I highly recommend this product.

I had the speaker system from DWG and felt that for the price it was not worth it.The speaker are cheap 3" speaker and the housings are plastic. The amp is cheap with distortion at high volume .Don't waste your money on these.
