Our toy run today; Nov 30

Hello all. Well, as the title says, we did our toy run today. Not as many bikes as last year but a decent showing anyway. About 1200 bikes total this year and 2000 last year.
Last 3 days, the weather was PERFECT. Today, rain! But we went on to assist those in need.
We left with the first 25% of the riders. After about 5 miles, it started raining. I was shocked as to how many people turned around and hightailed it back the other way! It is FLORIDA and it always rains!!!!
The wife & I rode slow and at a stoplight we noticed a BIG group behind me. I spoke to two Harley Electra Glide riders and said "we are not stopping. " They agreed and waved all the others that we were on our way.
So, for about the next 10 miles, We led a group of about 250 - 300 bikes to the toy run meeting place. Donna and I were laughing that the Nomad was the leader of the pack!! " Look at the 'Glides and 'Wings following the Nomad!"
Within 2 miles of the meeting place we caught the VIP riders and pulled in and started to dry off.
We did our part as riders, KawaNow members and as helping others. Spoke to two other Nomad riders and told them about the site too.
Be careful out there.

2200? Wow, that is a big ride!
We may have had 1000 or so. last year was bigger ( about 1500) but attendance was down this year.
Glad you went; the needs of many are not being met. We are helping the local food bank about double from last year.
It's tough to do, but when you have been on the other side of the fence, you understand it better.
