Mine do occasionally on my 2013. This happens because I mount my bike from the right side by stepping on my floorboard and lifting myself over the top. The left one could do the same if a person stepped on it to mount their bike. Also my wife mounts the same way with the passenger boards.

What happens is the rubber bumper under the floorboard gets compressed and eventually wears out. They are extremely easy to replace and not to expensive. I usually replace mine about once a year. Not a big deal.

What he said! However, once you get tired of replacing them, cut a couple of pieces off a old used car tire, using a good face mask/breathing mask with a grinder/slicing or cutoff wheel. Shape accordingly. Go to the Ford Dealership, parts dept, ask the parts man for a tube of the black sealer/silicon from Hell, he'll know what your talking about.
Clean your mount good with a degreaser, dab of silicon, stick on your new mount....
Will never come off....you'll have a nice cushion and won't compress over time....
