Does the 17” rims fit or did you have to change the forks or the caliper mounts? How about the front fender?

I used the stock Classic front forks, so the front fender can be used. I changed mine to a front fender from a Yamaha Star 1100 because I just don't like the stodgy square shape of the Classic front fender. Does require to make a set of caliper mounts to align the stock calipers with the Mean Streak larger diameter full floater discs. The rear wheel is a direct fitup, no mods required.

Thanks. Eventually it will look even better. The Yamaha Star 1100 front fender is steel, and since I have to mod the mounts anyway I was able to mount it a bit lower to the tire to get a bit of the lowered look, which also works well with the larger diamater lighter looking Mean Streak wheel. Here is a Microsoft Paint mockup of my Classic 1600 with the late 70's vintage Pacifico Shadow fairing. I've modded the fairing to fit a VN1700 gauge set up under the windshield. It'll have a stereo/Bluetooth/MP3/Pandora/GPS, LED driving lights, flow through air vents, plus bulky light storage capacity. I have a set of Nomad bags I'm mounting but without the bulky heavy bags framing. The bags will mount similar to how they mount on my BMW R1200RT, so when/if I take the bags off there'll be nearly no mounts showing. PLus the bags will mount tighter to the sides of the bike. The tail truck/rack will mount with quick release (Harley) latches so I can run the bike as a bagger most of the time. I also plan to mount a VN1700 rear fender to compliment the shape the of the Yamaha front fender.

The other bike is my friend's VN900 onto which I mounted a similar fairing. I am finishing the old Kutter bags right now to match the paint scheme. This was my 1st go at modding the Pacific fairing for a cruiser. It turned out well enough I decided to build myself a 1600 full dresser. On my bike the fairing will mount about 4" further back to fit the bike proportions better. My buddy likes the tall windshield, he likes to look through it rather than over it. Not my choice. On my 1600 the windshield is cut way down and I made it wider to get the protection I want without looking so tall.
