Quick update on Ohio trip

Have managed to visit lots of lost (to me anyway) family and friends. One school chum is very sick, skinny as a rail and not doing well. Lost 4 classmates this last year. I'm gettin old and thank God for my health all the time. Had a birthday party for my Mother today. First time that my sisters and I can remember ever giving her a party. We did a great job. Her brothers and sisters all showed up, bent over and creeping along (they are all in their 70's), and after a rain storm passed we enjoyed great food, all of those old cooks had to have great food, then Mom opened her presents and while some of us were admiring the yard after the festivities Mom fell and broke her hip. Bummer. Ambulance hauled her off to the ER. X-rays confirmed the worst. Could not find a surgeon to answer the phone so she was transported to Columbus, 70 miles south of here. One sister is with her, I'm home charging cell phones and getting rested up. Will head to Columbus tomorrow to be with Mom. This was inevitable, just bad timing. One birthday that she will remember for a lot of reasons. Don't know when I will be able to post again so be patient.

I'm sorry that happened Bud. But at least you were there with her instead of across the country. My wife and I will pray for her.
You stay safe out there and try to enjoy the rest of your trip.

Oh, that is such bad news Idaho. My mom just went through knee replacement & then fell & broke her humerous. It's rough to be that old and frail.

Our best wishes for your mother & God bless her.

Sorry to hear about your mom Bud, I hope she recovers quickly. My mom fell and broke her hip on Mother's Day one year. That was a mothers day she never forgot.

Quick update on Ohio trip

Okay, I'll tell her that m biker trash buds send prayers and hugs. She'll love it. I was intending to head west to Colorado today to meet up with Daryl and Dan and a few others but I'm still here in Ohio. Mom had a rough night last night. Nurse met me this morning to tell me that she was fighting deamons. I'm surprised it took this long. Two years ago in Florida I had to go down to help convince a surgeon to repair a bad heart valve. Mom got real combative the next morning, it was a combo of the anethstetic and the pain meds. Same this morning. Also threw her heart into fast rythims that scared them. I finally got her calmed down and they got meds into her to help. She seems to be doing better. I was hoping that she would be moved back to the facility that she lives in so that my sisters could keep an eye on her and I could hit the road. No such luck. Don't even know if she is going to be sent home tomorrow. I have to leave Friday at the very latest so I'm praying for good news tomorrow. Will let you all know as soon as I can. Thanks for the prayers and support.
