Do you know what you're riding?

I had an interesting experience at the local license branch yesterday. As I was registering my recently purchased Nomad, the kind clerk, while studying her computer screes, asked "Is your bike a 1600 Classic, Mean Streak, or..." at which point I interjected "Nomad". She looked at me with amusement and said she was impressed because most riders don't know the exact bike they are riding. I found her comment perplexing, as I could not imaging not knowing what I ride. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that applies to any Nomad owner out there.

Just thought I'd share that with the group.

Don't say that. She was old enough to be my mother. Now I must go purge my thoughts...

So Topcat, you're the one who smited me. I was mildly upset until I saw Blowndodge CME's karma at -286. I don't feel so bad. Anyway, after 18 years of marriage, you're right, I wouldn't know it. I gave you a karma for fessing up.
