Weather Conditions Kanab

I checked the 10 day weather outlook for my route to Kanab Ut this morning. I will be traveling through Barstow, Primm, Las Vegas, Mesquite, St. George UT on to Kanab. About 250 miles of this is through desert. The projected highs through these towns is 89-95 degrees. Tolerable..

I've been to Mesquite on my Nomad when it was much much worse! Much worse.

Arriving same day the weather forecast for Kanab on Saturday is a pleasant 81 degrees. Kanab is at 5K feet of elevation so the nights will be in the upper 40's.

North Rim Grand Canyon ride highs should be 70...

We were in Kanab in August of 2010 and it was pretty hot. Not Phoenix hot, mind you - but still hot. At that altitude, it's real nice this time of year.

Enjoy Barstow. Lovely place.

Coming back from the Cortez, CO Rally in late June it was HOT in Kanab. In fact it was hot from Monticello, UT all the way to LV. Cool nights will be nice.

Here in Phoenix, we are past the point in the year where it gets "cool" at night, unless you consider upper 80's "cool". No more sleeping with the windows open until October.

I am really looking forward to getting out of the Valley for a few days.

Wait until it's 90+ at 06:00. That's real refreshing. The ride to work is as hot as it is right now at lunchtime.

Lookin' likely that Charlie and I are gonna get wet leaving Seattle. Schoeney has generously offered to BBQ lunch for us as we come through his neighborhood in Vancouver, WA. He said he would ride with us too "if he doesn't have to get wet"....what a WHINER...! At least we can look forward to riding out of it. It has been really gorgeous up here for the last two weeks...so no surprise it is going to change just it time for our departure....

If the weather man is right - it looks like I will get out of NE and across KS without seeing hot weather or rain. I will hit the road next Tuesday and the temps are predicted to be in the high 70s.

I don't care if it's raining fire, I am getting the hell out of this office and wear some of the tread off my Cobra's.
