600 mile service and modifications

Picking up my Vaquero Friday morning, I know there is a break in period and service requirement at 600 miles. My question is wait until after service to do pipes, intake and EFI controller or go ahead and do now? The parts are on a shelf talking to me as I walk by.

Personally I waited in order to buy anything else I wanted needed and did at same time.

I would wait then you will know how much it improves.

First thing I would recommend is the throttle mod. Huge difference maker. Good luck.

It is safe to do intake, fuel and exhaust upgrades as soon as you get the bike. After all, the things on it now were upgrades compared to not having anything at all...

I personally wait at least 1000 miles before I bolt on anything that is more than peripheral. I like to get a feel for a bike before I start to make changes, that way I know what changes will benefit me the most. For instance, you might think pipes are the thing you want most, but after riding for a bit, find you hate the seat, but are ok with the power it its making.
