what ever happened to....

A while back their was a member who was "expanding" the size/depth of his saddlebags. I haven't seen or heard anything on the project for a while. Has anyone else seen any posts on this????

I remember the post but don't remember who. I'd like to see them too. That would be quite a project and accomplishment. If it can be imagined it can be done.

On the same note there was also a member who was building his own trunk from the shape of the hard bags...? Any more on that?

Tsukayu makes a trunk in the shape of our bags. Saw on in person on a V2K with Nomad bags grafted to it down in Daytona and thought he had cannibalized a set of our Bags to make the trunk! Scary how close it matches. Not cheap though but their stuff is good quality.

Was that the one he was building out of wood? I'm also curious how that came out!

Ricky-

I started a thread on this, 'cause I was sure I had seen someone enlarge some Nomad bags and put them on a 2000 Vulcan, and had toyed with the idea of doing the same thing to a 2000 Vulcan. Perhaps this was what you were thinking of?

This link shows the work rolf did to make the new bags. Absolutely incredible work.

Thanks Bill, that's the one I guess. I thought it was done on a Nomad though.

HMMM- don't recall a saddle-bag widening project on a Nomad, other than the guy making that top trunk in the shape of the saddlebag. Maybe someone else can pull something from their memory bank.
