18 dollar experiment

So I want a klock werks windshield but I for sure don't wanna waste $180 if I'm in the crowd that was not satisfied with the results. So heres my experiment:

Chinese ebay recurve windshield for a harley dresser. I don't want to make or buy a windshield trim so about an inch and a half had to get lopped off the bottom to get rid of the tabs and oversized bolt on areas. It's a little shorter than a klock so when we get in the 50s this weekend i will get a chance to see if it works.

Like anything plastic I've bought from china its smaller than whatever they copied it from so this piece is definitely not a keeper if anyone else had considered going this route. This is only a test.

Have you looked at the Long Rides Shield. I've bought several for my Memphis Shades fairing on my Nomad. They have the recurve and I think I spent around $70 bucks for it. Just a thought.

Just go with the Split Stream tinted 9 1/4 inch screen from Natl. Cycle....I have it on mine and it works extremely well, looks awesome, durable and well finished, I can still see right over the top of it, keeps buffeting way down and only set me back about 75 dollars. I ordered it from Westend Motorsports in Pennsylvania.

18 dollar experiment

I just bought a Slipstreamer 10" off Amazon for the same reason. $39. I know I want something much smaller than stock and with the Nomad I obviously had the benefit of being able to adjust it. The Voyager is my first bike with a fairing. With all this recurve stuff, Clearview's S/M/L/XL sizing system, etc...I figured $40 was an easy place to start. I'm 5'7" and wear a FF helmet so I want to look over it.
