paint codes

Ok so I am trying to get estimates for painting my trunk and a guy asked me about paint codes. Do I just go by the colorite code for the green color?

Is that good enough?

paint codes

OP....I just took a bag off and carried it down to a automotive paint shop in town where I knew a few of the guys built and rode bikes. They made a perfect match on both colors and at about 1/2 the cost of Colorrite.
Hope this helps,
mike

Yeah I took the trunk and one of the bags in this morning to the local shop and he said that his paint rep should be able to getthe code and if not they will just get it as close as possible. Estimate was $200. I would say that is pretty good. Considering I couldn't buy all the stuff from colorrite and have it done for that.

OP My local body shop told me the same thing, $200 for two tone color match, I was glad to hear that since I was expecting $300-400 for the job.
