Thumbs Up Sportline Kawasaki Dealer Queensbury, N.Y.

If any of you are in the Lake George, N.Y. area, drive over to this dealer in Queensbury. They
are a large dealership with the service on a first come first serve basis. I needed bearings
for my front wheel while at Americade. Guess what not only did they have them but they were
only $5.50 each. SWEET! They have many new bikes and loads of accessories, including clothes.
They also have another building with loads of used bikes for sale.
Justin Kelsey at the service counter was very helpful and the owner Glen seems to run a great shop. I
spent a couple of hours milling around looking at all the great stuff.

Check them out.

OK I am going to admit right up front this is probably a dumb question but how does one know when a wheel bearing is bad or going bad.

Jack the front wheel off the ground and spin it, if it feels or sounds rough they need replacing. Or when you have the front wheel off the bike for a tire change, turn the bearings by hand and see if they feel rough. I had to replace mine a couple years ago.

Or as in my case I was riding along and BANG ! PING ! BANG ! PING !

It didn't appear to be a rock caught up in the brake caliper, and thankfully it wasn't
the motor coming apart, which was my first thought when I heard the noise.

If it did that it was probably due for replacement long before that happened.
They're usually noisey for quite a while before they blow apart.

You should not wait Gerry.
Since I got mine I can hear the birds sing and the crickets in the pond across the road.
People I talk to don't have to repeat themselves 3 times before I understand them and the wife doesn't get pissed and say OH, Never Mind.
Insurance covers most of the cost.
I asked the tech if I needed to buy one for each ear and he said, " You don't go to the optometrist and ask to only have a lens in one side of your glasses do you?"

I just got one for the right ear as it is the worst of the two. I have no insurance for them, all out of pocket. I'll tell you what, I can hear stuff I haven't heard in a very long time. It scared me that while I was walking I heard foot steps, I turned around to see who was following me, no one was there. hahaha

If you start hearing voices and turn around and no one is there it ain't the hearing aid
