I haven’t made reservations either. I probably won’t be there until Thursday night. I was hoping to ride the talimena in a couple of weeks with the local guys ( Trip, Dave and Jesse) but I had a little mishap on my road bike ��*♀️ yesterday. I was 12 miles into a 24 mile ride when I hit a slick spot and went down. On the way down my right thumb hit a steel pole that was put there to keep you from going into the canal. So I went to the hospital and x-rays revealed my right thumb is broke, along with other bruises and contusions. Luckily I was wearing a helmet because my head hit pretty hard. I should be fine by the time Antlers gets here but I’ll have to see what the ortho doctor says.

That is some shitty luck. Hope you're feeling better soon.
I want to get over there and ride the Wichita mountains once you heal up.

You need to get a RDL for that. I don't know how you ride it 24 miles.
Hope you heal quickly.
I'd like to ride the Witchita Mountains also. Thought maybe one long day during Antlers, it's only 210 miles one way about 4hrs.

I road it over 100 miles in 5 1/2 hours in 100° heat. Just not lately.

You could ride over from Antlers it just wouldn’t leave you much time to see anything before you need to ride back.

I make it as a 3 1/2 hour ride. If you left at 7:30 you should get there at 10:30. 4 hours in the area and start back at 2:30 to get back at 6:00. Easy day.
