Mostly For Nico

I used that title only because Nico seems to have an interest in the Rocket 3. Cruiser magazine has an artical about the Albrex Rocket 3 Turbo. This THING is turbo charged, twin coolers, heavy duty clutch and special exhaust. 220 HP, 266 ft. lbs. of torque.
0 to 62 MPH 3.1 sec., 0 to 125 10.5 sec., top speed 149 MPH. The rider is cautioned to be careful with the throttle. I wonder why??????

Put me squarely in the camp of those wanting a Rocket III tourer.

I've ridden a Rocket III, and they are fast. I went 135mph before better judgment got a hold of me.

All in all, it's probably wiser that I have a Nomad that doesn't want to go over 100mph.

I was intrigued by the Rocket III too, until I looked at one up close. Just looks weird, the big radiator, three exhaust pipes coming out the same side, then splitting to two and one, tank's too big... Sure goes like hell though, and will get some attention from your friends.

Before I bought my Nomad I was wanting a Suzi C109RT in a bad way. 127hp, 150 mph cruiser out of the box. V-twin with MUSCLE. 250mm rear tire. Actually glad that I did not wait for one (they are due out next month) cause I'd probably kill myself on one. It is an engine that BD would appreciate.

I agree that the engine is one ugly piece of industrial machinery that looks like it came off of a communist era farm tractor.

But like an ugly niece or nephew, it might grow on you as you get to know it.
