There's the sad truth in out system right there. We let THEM sit on OUR money for a year, give some of it back to us and we tend to think of that as NOT PAYING.
I really wish they would just overhaul the tax system and go to a flat tax where everyone pays the same percentage without all the loopholes. It would be so much more fair and create way more revenue. But then....all those slackers who don't pay anything now would whine and gripe about actually having to contribute. Did I just say that..... ??

Yes you did. Stated your mind without being politically correct, I like it.

I agree, a flat tax would eliminate the need for a bunch of lawyers that write the tax code and the 80,000+ IRS employees that enforce/administer it.

Many corporations and charities would not like it but I think the corporations would come around once they realized how much government overhead it would reduce, and saw the reduced tax burden. Gee, and everybody would be working so we won't need as many charities.

The administrators of government always wants to cut (and threaten to cut) Police, Fire, Teachers, and other services. If we could cut half of the administrators we wouldn't miss them. Too many chiefs, and don't get me started on judges.

Let's take a look at most areas...why do we need 4 layers of governement? (Federal, State, County, City). The answer is we don't. If this was private industry we would be merging into just 2 layers and slashing the backroom people and fixed overhead. Too damn simple.

Sorry, got off on a rant. Glad you got some money back Kris. Enjoy it because President B.O. will be looking for it soon.

LOL....that money is long gone Vin......spent on.....

1. New tires for the wife's Honda Accord.....

2. New tires for my Silverado pickup.....

3. New heated Gerbing jacket liner and controller for the wife....(major points getter)....

4. New HP Pavilion computer w/wireless keyboard and mouse, 21.5" monitor and new wireless fax/printer.....

5. Paid off remaining balance on Visa card.....

I have one set of Gerbing heated pants and jacket (thrown into the deal when I got that Valkyrie), WOW, is that stuff open up a whole new level of comfort on the ride. For my wife, but I often steal it. I havn't figured out how your supposed to ride with jeans, then heated pants, then chaps on top of that?
