Tought Decision...
I have not been active on the forum for a while as I have had some issues to deal with and have reached a very difficult decision...
This is a really tough post to write but after a lot of careful consideration and the results of the meeting with my doctor today I have decided to give up riding and sell my bike. The problems with my hands is only going to get worse and I can't, with the safety of my fellow riders and my own continue to ride. Although I can still take short rides my hand still hurts and I fear the day when it will simply not have the control to pull the clutch. Believe me this has been one of the toughest decisions I have ever made. Riding has really brought me through a very difficult time in my life. To all the friends I have made I say thank you and only hope this will not be the end of our relationship - I can still drink coffee and eat breakfast even have the odd beer. The bike is listed on Kijji at http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...AdIdZ387461709 Thank you everyone... Mike😥😥

Sorry to hear this Mike, but some times we do have to listen to what the body is telling us. I enjoyed meeting you and hope that if we have another Kingston meet and greet you might drop in for lunch with us no matter how you get there.
Just a thought off the top of my head, if it is just your clutch hand that bothers you, perhaps something like an Automatic Can-Am would allow you to continue riding.

I was thinkin along the same lines as Norm.
Honda made an automatic bike not to long ago, may be another option.

It was nice meeting you at Maggie Valley. I was hoping you would make it to Wellsboro

Sorry to hear about your situation and hope it doesn't get too bad for you.
Making the decision to cut-back or to stop riding is a tough decision, but a wise one if you have any questions about safety. I am a bit in the same situation with a back-issue that limits my riding. To keep my knees in the wind without hurting my back I went the route of a Can Am Spyder (RTS-SE5 automatic). It isn't a motorcycle, but as I said... your knees are still in the wind.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I definitely know that it has to be a hard decision. I don't know what I would do without my scoot. It is the best stress reliever that I can think of, other than maybe ...............sex. Take care Mike.

Thats too bad Mike, I wish it didn't have to come to this. Ridley also makes some nice Vtwin automatic bikes. Perhaps that could be an alternative.
