miss a couple days of the boards and stuff goes to hell in a handbasket. The time from the realization of "impending asphalt" to your body arriving there is indeed quite short.
Glad you were able to walk away when it was over my friend.

I'm a little behind on this thread, but I want to wish you well Scott. Heal quick; just glad it was not worst. I appreciate your advice and input here.

Glad to see you're able to post, CJ! The main thing is that you're still with us. Keep us posted on the situation with the bike and in the mean time, keep some ointment on the scrapes and scratches and some ibuprofin for the aches you're gonna have.

Well, I think I have turned the corner. After only being to get 3 hours of sleep since the "incident", I slept all through the night last night. That's a big step towards feeling better. I don't know if the double 7&7's I was drinking before I went to bed had anything to do with that, but I feel much better today. I'll have to go pick up another 5th today.

Larry, you are correct. Once you realize that asphalt impact is imminent, it's all over but the rolling/sliding. Just a sickening feeling of helplessness.

Still no news on the bike. I will update when I know something.

Looking at your bike before and after it looks like going to bed with a beautiful young sexy islander woman and waking up with a female Russian shotputer!! :-[

Or the episode of Seinfeld with the chick that looks good sometimes and other times doesn't...

I bet there's $2-3000 in damage for sure and probably more. it depends on how particular the adjuster is.

I estimate ~$2500, not including labor.

Labor and paint will add a bit.

Just spotted this thread. Sorry about your accident but glad you're doing okay. Been there done that with the abrasions to the arm years ago...not fun especially when healing and it starts to itch!!!

Again glad you're okay. :-*

Yep. Wish my 750 had crash bars-hard to find. The darn kickstand switch doesn't work and it will run and take off in gear with the kickstand down.....ask me how I know....have replaced broken turn signal and one pair of blue jeans with abrasive hole on knee. :-/
