Just walked in the door about 20 minutes ago. 112 degrees right now. Yes, it happens every year, but every year it takes getting used to.

Had a good ride home - left Kanab a little later than I had hoped to, stopped in Page AZ to top off and for a bite to eat. Filled up again in Flagstaff and was making such good time I detoured west on I-40 to Bellemont, about 10 miles west of Flagstaff to visit Grand Canyon Harley Davidson.

Today was just hot enough to make the tar snakes on AZ-87 "greasy" had a couple of "oh sh!t" moments. Stopped in Payson to top off again and grabbed a Powerade and a hot dog and was back on the road.

Just figured out my mileage, I rode a total of 1580.7 miles on this trip.

Made it home at 12:30 today after a night in Grand Junction. A big thumbs up to Jared for recommending Utah 12 between US 89 and Utah 24. This road should be on every motorcyclist bucket list. What a Great Ride sweepers, twisties, and fantastic views. Followed up with a run up Utah 72 another very good ride to I-70 and East to the Denver area. Thanks to all who attended the rally, you are a super group of people. Hope to see you all in Colorado next year.

Good to hear that some are home. We are in Rifle tonight with Landman. Taking it easy right now. I'm tired and thinking of reading my eyelids.

We have a large natural gas gathering system and processing plant in the Meeker/Rifle area. Wide open and beautiful country in that area. Great to hear you are all making it home safely.
