What are you needing from this expert, if I may ask. (I no expert, just asking)

I can met you somewhere on the weekend and compare, what year do you have. Also what noise do you have, since I put my stock exhaust back on I found a lot of strange noises but they are probably not an issue.

I have an 05 silver and black.....the noise almost sounds like a miss or spark plug misfire. We can get together one weekend.....I may be in Beaumont on Friday heading to the lone star rally, but I will probably be on my Suzuki....(equal time you know......also that way i can tell the wife I ride both when she starts asking why I have 2 bikes

If it runs good with no running problems, I would say its fine, these motors are famous for weird sounds. Just ride it and enjoy.

I agree with Vidor that the Nomad is a noisy bike. Valves clatter a lot but that is normal. Hope you guys were able to get together and figure it out.

The best cure is to wear a full face helmet with earplugs.

Sounds good, don't know when I'll be available though. Between work and 3 kids, they keep me pretty booked. At this point I'm just hoping to get to the Lone Star rally for a few hours this Saturday.
