Waving Bluetooth Music Receiver

I thought this might be of interest to some of the other riders. I have a Voyager and have been trying to figure out a way of listening to my tunes from my iphone but I wasn't to keen on mounting it in the fairing enclosure. I came across this device and have ordered one-CoolStream Duo, it is a very small bluetooth receiver and along with the audio adaptor kit, this should work out very well. It has gotten excellent reviews on Amazon. Mount the receiver in the fairing pocket along with the audio adaptor and pair it with your phone and you have a music player and are still able to keep your phone with you.

Looks like a neat set up - But I prefer to carry mine in the pocket - its out of any bad weather and always charged that way . . .

Well if it's a bluetooth receiver then you should be able to keep your phone in your pocket. Just pair it with the receiver and you are good to go. This solves the issue I'm having too, as I am wanting to use my iphone in its case I have mounted on my bars for GPS purposes, but I didn't want to run wires to my bars so I can hook up my iPhone 5. However, this means I won't be able to charge it either.

I currently have the ipod 30 pin connector kit in the cubby and use an ipod for now. I would prefer to use spotify on my iphone 5 over my speakers but haven't decided the best way to run a 30 pin to lightning adapter from the cubby to the mount on my bars. If anyone is using their iphone 5 on their bars and has it connected to their bike's audio, please post some pictures and info.

Also OP, please give us a review when you have it all set up. I'm interested to hear if its as plug and play as it appears!

I just noticed the CoolStream has a rechargeable battery and needs to be turned on and off. I wonder if the bike would charge it? That is one nice thing about the ipod, no messing with it. It's locked in there and I don't mess with it until I want to add more songs, or winter comes.

I noticed no posting since January but has anyone had success with the Coolstream Duo? Will it still display artist and song title on the radio display?

Please let us know how it works.

Thanks
