Muffler Question

would a 2004 set of mufflers fit a 2007 Nomad. Kawasaki has different part numbers for them. It seems in 2006 a change was made.

Muffler Question

I would have to say yes, as the V-H baggers will fit from 99 to present.

Muffler Question

there is a difference. I spoke to a Kaw Rep today and he said there is a diffence in the mufflers on both sides between a 2004 and all after 2006. It is in the spacing of 2 things. The screw holes on part number 18091 and 18091A for the hard bag brackets. Also he said the configuration for the the rubber grommets 92071 is a different setup.

Muffler Question

Boy, one of those nights. In reference to my last post on the reps answer, if my eyes are still somewhat good, the 2004 Nomad had hard bags. Thus a mounting brackets. I think the change is not based on what I see as far as scale and alignment of screws. Even so, a 2004 heat shield would work.

Even on Gadgets page he shows both being the same internally.

Muffler Question

Hi, Seeing as the frames changed on the 05's maybe the hard bag brackets changed position relative to the engine position therefore making the muffler attachment point different ? Im guessing the attachment holes on the mufflers on the 05 (and newer) are further towards the rear of the muffler ?

Muffler Question

I would have to agree with redjay. The mufflers themselves are most likely the same but the bolt holes are almost certainly different due to the change of frame for the larger engine.
