CJ goes to the Bay Area

I will be heading to the Bay Area later this month for some training. I'll be arriving at SFO on Sunday, September 27 in the evening. I will have training classes from 0900-1700 Mon-Fri, then will be departing SFO Friday evening.

I am staying at the Homewood Suites in Brisbane (the training facility is is the general vicinity) and I will have a rental car. I have a brother who lives in Merced and I hope to meet him for dinner one evening while I'm there. I'll probably ride the BART train into San Francisco some evening for some seafood or a good Chinese dinner.

I thought about riding the bike up there, but the company said no.

I don't know if we have any members in the Bay Area, but if we do and you'd like to get together for a beer, let me know.

Too bad CA doesn't have a training facility in the Portland area.

Wish they'd send us to the SF area for training. We always go to Houston or College Station. A few of the guys in the I & E group go to Phoenix for Honeywell DCS training. Sounds like a nice paid vacation CJ.

CJ is your brother going to come into town to see you ? It's about a 3.5 hour drive from Merced to The Bay Area. If he has the time and does not want to drive in he can take AMTRAK from Merced
to Emeryville and take the Amtrak Bus in to the City "The Ferry bldg". He can also get off The Amtrak in Richmond and take The BART train to South SanFrancisco or to Milbrae and meet you there. The Milbrae BART also services SFO . Or If he is so inclined there is a United Express flight out of Modesto to SFO it is about a 25 minute flight. If you need anything feel free to PM me .I live in the central valley but I am from the Bay area. DJ

He and I are going to meet up in Pleasanton for dinner. He's retired and has all kinds of free time.

CJ goes to the Bay Area

Have a good time CJ.....at least someone is getting some training. They've cut out all training at my hospital.

Last time I was in the bay area I was training for a payroll software package. That was about 5 years ago. Training was in Walnut Creek, but I went into SF almost every evening for dinner.
