This is why RDL wanted to forego the list order. With164 people confirmed on the list and a few more that I'm sure slipped in after the fact, in the eleventh hour we still haven't filled the 125 spots. There were a lot of people that were upset that RDL did not follow the list, but it was pretty smart planning on their part.

I always felt that everyone that really wanted a seat would get one at the discounted price. Seems that this is going to end up being the case...

She told me that she still has around 10 spots left on the list. So if anybodys waiting, you have until midnight tonight to get in.

Just thought of something. Most of the guys saying they got their build date email already, put their order in around 3:00 AM EST. I think you are in the Central time zone. If that's the case, those guys on the east coast put their orders in before you did. That may explain why they got their build date email before you did.

Called Weds and got a 'hurried' confirmation, but still no written confirmation or production date. Didn't submit my order until Monday noon EST so I expect I'll get the email I'm looking for after this weekend.

I think the method used to order may have something to do with how they are actually assigning build dates. For example I used the "delay send" option in Outlook to automatically send my order by email at 12:01 AM PST. Perhaps they went through the internet orders first?

I'd say negative to the internet orders being first. Mine was a print scan and email order. My seat will be custom rider and pillion, if that makes a difference.
And it's never too cold to ride, just too white!

I actually emailed my order, print and attach, Sunday night, got a read confirmation on the email around 7pm Sunday so they got it before the "official" start of Monday. Requested a build date of early Jan due to my wife had to fly to North Carolina unexpected due to health issues with her mother and we did not get the photo's taken.

Got an email from Kim today with a build date of 12/6/12, I emailed her back and reexplained the issue and she gave me a new build date of 1/29/13 said that was the next opening which works great for me.

Very nice folks to work with.

I am still confused about who gets what build dates but it is out of my hands.......so time to just wait and see oh what I would have done to have a build date of next week.

The two guys on here that said they received their build date already put the order in at 3:04 AM and 3:11 AM EST on 11/26/12. That's 12:04 AM and 12:11 AM on 11/26/12 in Shasta Lake, CA. You put your order in at 2:35 AM CST on the 26th. That's 12:35 AM In Shasta Lake, CA.

Those guys placed their orders before you did. In theory, if their build dates are the 11th and 12th yours should be fairly close to that. There was probably a lot of orders that went in between midnight and 1:00 AM Pacific time so it's hard to say where your order might shake out. A lot of orders could have been submitted between 12:00 AM and 12:35 AM when your order processed.

I submitted mine at 2:05 AM CST. 12:05 AM in California.

Well the group buy window has officially shut. I hope everyone was able to get their seat orders submitted in time. For those that did, I hope you enjoy your new RDL!!

We had 164 people on the list. I know that as of mid-day on Friday RDL had at least 115 confirmed orders. It is entirely possible that they filled the last 10 they agreed to take before midnight tonight.

I would say our group buy was a huge success for everyone including RDL!

I was on the list but backed out at the last due problems with the bike that will require major money. Getting the bike running first or replacing it has now become the priority. Couldn't see spending the money on the seat not knowing what will happen to the bike at this point.

Mike thanks for your work putting this together. I really wanted to do this and probably will in the future depending on what bike I end up with.

Just called Kim at RDL.... and they are the nicest folks!
I placed an online order last Monday and had yet to receive a confirmation from them. Figured they've been real busy, so I waited until today to check. She was able to confirm I made the group buy easily, and they are hoping to get email notices out to most people today.

Thanks Mike for getting this thing done. There will be many happy hineys thanks to you. I'll dedicate my first SS1k of 2013 to you.
