$19.95 at Lowe's.

90 degrees probably is pleasant to someone who lives in the land of fog and drizzle (you know who you are). It's 90 degrees when I go to work in the mornings. I was hoping for 70's-80's in Orofino. I don't know that I want to ride 1300 miles to cook my ass off.
And a whole lot worse on the ride home, trust me. I've almost had enough...Now, if we had the rally in Hannigan Meadows, that would be nice and cool.

Most of the time that is true. It's a little more humid lately, but it's relative.

They say the Shuberth is the quietest modular on the market. Some say they don't need ear plugs. It's pricey though.

Don't worry Jim. Us SW guys are forming a break away riding group and riding to cooler pastures in a different time of year. ... we'll keep you posted

Hannigan is at about 9000' and about 25-30 degrees cooler than the valley. Lots of nice roads up there too. The local BMW club had their rally there in May.

If you really want to fit in, wear a Kaffiyeh around your neck. Wet it first of course. That said, I know someone that says a terry towel wrapped around ice to make a tube and then put that around your neck works wonders in the heat.

Right now it's 88 degrees and 87% humidity. That's not dry to me.

Being acquainted with summer riding out here I've ordered a cooling vest that is soaked in water. It should be here before I leave for Orofino. (Better be, I paid 50 bux for the thing) I'm leaving Pocatello on the 19th and am going to ride up 93 through Salmon, Darby and Hamilton to Missoula. I have a room reserved in Missoula and will make the rest of the ride over Lolo Pass on Sunday morning.
