motorcycle lift table

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the garage.. but was wondering if any of you had or used this table from northern tools. It's not 2 expensive to begin with but I have a hand on a used one pretty cheap. I would probably build some outriggers on it for added stability if I got it. just wondered how stable it is with a nomad size bike.. thanks.

I have one sorta like it! I'm thinking this is a cheaper version? Mine has a 42" wide table / rear wheel drop out. This appears to have a lip around the edge? But for the price - I'd look hard at it! I love mine!!!

rewindgy.... is it stable with the bike in the air? can you do some wrenchin without it gettin crazy wiggly? Hopefully the soon to be new nomad will need more polishin than wrenchin though..

I would like a lift table myself, but looking at this one, there is a 900 lb weight limit. I am thinking that is pretty close to the wet weight of a Nomad, than putting tools, accesories, and then wrencing, I would be very nervous with this one. However if anyone out there does use a lift table can you give the rest of us the skinny on what you have and what you do and don't like or would get next time?

That looks just like the one I have that is from Harbour Freight. I love mine and putting the Nomad on it is NO problem at all !

Most weight ratings have a safety factor worked in the final numbers.

I have one simular to it but from Harbor Fright. Mine has a 1000 pound capacity, removable ramp and a rear removable floor/door to change rear tires. Price is about the same. Get a pancake jack to use with the lift and you are in business.

I have one from Harbor freight that looks like this one but my is rated at 1000 lbs. mine has the air over hyd which is great but cost a little more. I have had my Nomad in the air for a week at a time with no problems also I bought a Condor chock and I just ride mine up on the lift and step off and I can strap it down with out worrying about it falling

I got mine used from a Indy repair shop. It's rated 1000 lbs. And regarding the wiggling - you could drop a bomb off and it won't go anywhere! I have the Condor ride on/off chock on the front, you do have to put straps to keep it forward and I always use the scissor jack when lifting the bike up to remove tires / swingarm, etc. but just sitting on wheels it is very stable!

darn it.. I was to late. I went an ordered that afab prints off line and will whip one up at work.. I'll have to use my garage jack till I go hydraulic but I can make do... plus, it's saves me 100 bucks and i get to cut metal with FIRE in the process
