Lift table choice

I want to purchase a lift table to work on my bike, oh my aching back. The local Pepboys has a Torin Big Red Motorcycle Jack Table t64001 for only $249. Rated 900 lbs capacity. Anybody know anything about this product? I would like to buy it, but an concerned it my not be safe considering the low price.

Check out these three. The first two are jack lifts and the last one is a lift table.

Here's a link to what I am talking about. Great price, looks nice. But is it safe? Anybody, what's your opinion?

A friend of mine has the Torin and for the money there not bad.
I have had my Nomad on it several times for rear tire changes and it did just fine.
The only big draw back I see is its not very wide so when you are on the bike and on the lift you will have to tippy toe to reach the ground because theres simply no where to put your feet on the table top.

Also you will have to come up with some blocks to put your kick stand on while you dis-mount the bike because theres no place on the table top for your kick stand.

In short when you put your bike on it or while backing it off I would HIGHLY recommend having someone to help you so you don't drop your bike, (ask me how I know) :(" title="" border="0"/>yep right off the lift no damage thank god.

Once on the lift and you have the bike strapped down they work just fine.

Thanks Water Rat, I had not considered the kickstand issue. About how wide is the Torin? The local dealer doesn't have one on display and he doesn't know. I am concerned about its strenght considering the low price. I have dropped my bike too, bless the crash bars.

The Harbour Frieght ad reads "Three position tire vise opens to 6-1/8''" Some Nomad fornt tires are wider, like the Metzler 150/80-16 at 6 3/8". Even my new Bridgestone G705 is 6.20 which is basically 6 1/8 so it's at the end of it's reach.
As far as the kickstand not having a place to rest (table too narrow), maybe you could bolt a plate to the table that swings out for the kickstand.

Hey Bob, do you think you could let some air out of the front tire and make it work?

There is a version here in Canada by Princess Auto, I went and checked it out but the damn Nomad's are so long that when it's on the platform you only have 1 1/2" of area left behind the rear tire. Doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy!

I had to let air out of a motorcycle tire on my old Roadking to get it past the brake cylinder...so I guess you could pick up some space.
