Bad gas gauge

This is a follow up to my earlier post, I ran the bike until the gas light came on two times this past week, once it lit at 119 miles and the second time 125, both times when I filled the tank it only took 3.2 and 3.3 gallons. So I guess at least for my bike the light will come on with roughly two gallons left. Once I get use to riding with the light on I should be able to fill at about 150 to 160 and still have about a gallon left. Anyone else getting a gas light at about 120 miles. Thanks for the earlier help.

Mine comes on at around 135- 145 miles. Takes 4 to 4.4 gal to fill it back up.

Smile gas gauge

I have not gone much over 100 miles before i fill the tank. My gauge hangs up until I go about 80 miles. I average 35 miles a gallon. I have the Big Horn air filters and a fuel module similar to the road commander. No reserve on these bikes and have a hard time getting used to that, all my other ones always had one.

try running a little marvel mystery oil in your tank for a couple of fill ups it helped free up my gauge and made it work better

Does the MMO work the same as or better than SeaFoam? I ran that thru every couple of tank fulls with my 750.

Sea foam doesn't lubricate. mmo does. Keep using sf but not the in the tank with mmo
