Seat quick release for 1600

Has anybody come up with a quick release for the 1600 driver and passenger seats? The passender seat is really hard to get to if you have a luggage rack installed. Been looking and have found a few but nothing that really looks like it will work.
Any suggestions?

Seat quick release for 1600

Did you design the quick release bolts for the saddlebags? I know I love mine that I got from you. I can see that a luggage rack might cause problems. I have not seen anything and my mind can't picture what you would need. If you come up with anything let me know. If you sell any be sure and let me know that for sure.

What about a snap,...........like the ones they use on a boat to snap down the cover?
It might take a bit to figure this one out but it could work perfect!

Seriously - do you remove the seat so frequently that having to use tools becomes an insurmountable obstacle? If you can remove your seat quickly, so can anyone else. My seat cost me upwards of $600. It would seriously ruin my day if I came out and found it missing.

Scott, I hadn't thought of a seat being stolen. Just one of those things most people don't think about. Guess we should be looking into ways to lock it rather than making it easy to remove.

My 06, used a 8mm socket for both seats. I use 1/4 inch drive like Cj, other than that 12mm socket. I got the idea Cj's seat uses something not oem, and he forgot.

I do that, I remove something oem and forget I did.

+1 C.J. ;) I have 10mm bolts, but the same idea. Also, I remove the seats everytime I wash the bike. I had my seat reworked and the cover is NOT waterproof like the Stocker. I don't want the foam to get soaked and I get a wet a$$ going down the road.

I keep an 8mm nut driver in my trunk for removing the seats. It's quick and easy. I normally only remove the seats when I wash the bike as they are not waterproof.

Same here with the 8mm nut driver, I remove the seats every time I clean the bike, whether washing (once a year in the spring) or just wiping it down. Not much of a problem to remove two screws using the nut driver. ;)

I had a Corbin seat on my old bike and one of the options for it was a "knurled" nut that you could simply remove by hand. I passed on it as I didn't want the chance that some yahoo walking by would take my seat as a joke. You could probably order something from Corbin or simply to go a good hardware store or fastener store to get something similar

I have the knurled knobs that are used to hold my seat on, but the last couple years I havn't even used them. My seat just sits in place and I lift it off whenever I need to get under it. I guess were all honest here in Canada.

Yeah, I have SS hex head bolts in mine. I pitched the button head bolts that came with it. I do remove my seats when washing my bike, too. I only wash it a couple times a year, though.
