Nice bike. I bought one new and sold it after two weeks. Didn't care for the riding position. To far bent over. But I am old and I am sure that was the problem. Nice and quick though.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper just to replace the rear tire on your Nomad?

Not for me, but nice for you!

I'm in the 50% style (of my own choosing) and 50% HP club. Recently went head to head with a 106" Victory to about 100 mph and was surprised to have kept up. Ride safe (ish).

Congrats on a great choice. I never have ridden the Connie but it sure looks tempting and the reviews are great.

I am resisting the new bike urge you, Mitch, Chuck, Liz, and others are putting on me. I did pick up a nail in the back tire today, is it time for a new bike? lol

Thanks all, pretty excited.
Griz called dibs on my trunk and Russel seat while we were in Antlers. I need to take a few pics, and will have other parts from the Nomad available soon.

Uh, yeah, it will be a little easier.

Yep. I haven't really opened it up much yet, but on our ride, I decided to pass somebody and shifted up instead of down - it has such a wide power band that it still went from 40 - 70 in the blink of an eye.

Absolutely! Ann and I have made terrific friends through this forum and attending the rallies is the best part.

It feels pretty vertical to me - no where near as bent over as my SV650S. I am still deciding, but will likely get some riser blocks to straighten out that last little bit for a slight bit more comfort on the longer trips.

If you pay the dealer to change a rear tire, I believe it is cheaper just to buy a new bike. And Bill, just go ahead and crack open that wallet - it is next to impossible to resist when that new bike bug gets to you.

Funny Jesse. She told me I was absolutely not getting black. (I think she was trying to avoid that experience again.)
There will definitely be some customizing, but cosmetics are down the list a bit. We'll see, but a new slip-on muffler may be in order. I'm not sure if we put mine next to your Goldwing which one would be "louder"?

A fellow member said something like this: Grit your teeth, down a shot of tequila and sign the papers.

It works
