Got the baggers installed today

Well.. I finally got around to getting my dual baggers bolted up today, and I got 3 words for ya... OH...MY....GAWD...

The sound is so beautiful, like angels singing (or something like that)... yeah i'll go with that...

Anyways, just gotta say, one of the nicest sounding bikes I've heard in a while, and it's mine... all mine :)

Yes, they look good. I'm next though with the installation of my Cobras. They've been sitting next my Nomad for about two weeks, waiting for someone to install them. I guess that would be me.

Yeah , I procrastinated too, took no more than 15-20 minutes to take off the stockers and another 30 to put these on , and it only took that long cause I didn't bother reading the instructions and started with the wrong end making me have to start over.

Good news is you have a few months till spring. I still have the cam chain tensioner extensions and 3 sets of brake pads to change plus engine/gear oil. Getting there though, good luck!

You didn't read the directions? Are we supposed to? We're guys and that's how we are.

I'm going to do it in the early AM and get out for a ride tomorrow afternoon. It is in the low 30sF but clear and beautiful.

eg, I don't mean to hijack your thread but you prompted me to get off my lazy duff and install my Cobras, which I did today. It took me longer than it did you for a number of goofy reasons but they are on and look great. I did a 12 minute tune and watched the condensation drip out of the mufflers as it warmed up. The fan went on at about 10 and 12 minutes for about 30 seconds each time.

And I have but only one bloody knuckle.

Now I have to figure out how to install this Dobeck controller. Oh and please don't envy me. When I opened the shop door to do the tune and go for a ride it was snowing.

Perhaps tomorrow.

And on the sound, as an old Harley guy I can say they sound absolutely great. They have a nice, low clean rumble. I'm really looking forward to getting out on the road to give them a run.

Looks good, been following you and the mods/maintenance you are doing. Waiting for you to do the cam chain tensioner extensions, please take photos of that too.

With only about 10K on it I shouldn't need to do that for awhile, should I? I thought that was a wear item required at about 50K.

It's actually a two story shop built about 40 feet from the house. I added a room in the back for working on my vintage Brit bikes. After bouncing around in the Navy for over 30 years I thought I deserved a nice shop, something I always wanted.
