140 or 141 gallons... whatever it takes. We got luggage space!!!

Oh... and by the way... Glad to hear Victory is in the position of having to catch-up!! Sorry couldn't resist...

The changes HD made this year is what made the difference for me. Competition is apparently doing everyone good though. It is all good, as you know from me.

PS: Went to the Int'l show in Chicago... sat on every tourer there was; and HD Ultra still remained the only one that can work for me; especially considering I ride two-up most of the time.

After reading this article I question the validity. The comparison rates the New HD #1, Victory, #2, and Voyager #3. Taking overall attributes into consideration.

One of the messages MC USA was sending (without any scientific data) was that the HD had more power.

Refer to the Feb 2014 issue of MCN and you will find MCN's actual speed/power tests. Keep in mind the Victory was a 2011 model the HD 2014, Vaquero 2012.

.................Top Speed............ 0-60............1/4 mile .............. Rear WHP........... Rear WTorq

Victory XC 117.3.....................4.79..............13.12. ..............79.94............92.54

HD FLHTK 103.25...................5.52..............13.99.. .............77.65............89.83

Voyager............not tested

Vaquero 114........................ 5.40..............13.83...............65.8........ ......80.93

Not sure what this tells us but I take magazine reviews/tests with a grain of salt.

P.S. I resisted the temptation to include the Honda ST1300 or the Gold Wing test results....didn't want to make anyone feel slow.

I think she knows how good she has it. I had to leave during the cold spell so I spent a hour hauling wood in so she could stay toasty in the house. Now Trish having to put up with a gloating Seahawks fan is another thing.

They are rude anymore. But they do have the best pressed shirts around. And Brad does know how to press his hats as well.

Hey Joel...I thought you were so embarrased about your lack of football knowledge that you were going into hibernation until the Orifino Rally? :-)

Stay thirsty my friend.

Nope. If it doesn't warm up soon I just might join some bears. But on that topic, even a blind pig can find an acorn every once in a while.

Regarding any of these articles... I would not put money on the validity either; however it is always fun when your bike wins. And my bike won in this article!!!

I understood what they referred to regarding engine power. Mine has more low-end; while the Vic has it on the top-end. Mike (Gibby) and I ride together all the time and we have both noticed that difference, and I was on an '09. The '14 103 has even more. Again, I understand what they were alluding to.

Regarding model years... Vic hasn't changed anything since 2011 that I am aware of; so it remains a fair comparison because it represents what Vic is offering at this time. 2015 may be a different story for Vic though, because I suspect some surprises soon from Victory that will put the current bikes in a museum.

Lastly, I thought the same thing on how they did not include the GW. Honda probably hasn't been spending the money lately!

Greg, those results you posted make you wonder if any of those bikes can even keep up with their own shadow, don't they? You could spot them roughly 60 mph at the start and still beat them in a quarter mile. And theirs won't turn on a dime and give you 9 cents change back! Seems odd they spend so much time worrying about which one is faster. Like arguing about whether a Suburban or an Escalade gets better gas mileage!

The Goldwing isn't a v-twin. That would be like comparing a Chevy, a Ford, a Dodge and a Porsche. Apples and oranges.
