New 08 Nomad Owner

Just purchased 08 Red/Blk Nomad last week. Have logged just over 200 miles so far. Sold my Harley. Taking all kind of grief from my riding buds, most of which are on Harley's. I just got tried of costly repairs, 4 fairly major in 22K miles. Also got fed up with the hard ride on Dyna wide glide.
Did alot of research before deciding on Nomad....which has been named MadKaw, since my bride thinks I have that illness. Too early to know for sure, but liking it so far. Already installed V&H baggers since I like to be heard. Risers on order from Scootworks, with more mods planned.
I'm retired, live in N GA, and always looking to meet new people and ride the TN, GA, NC & SC areas primarily.

Welcome, and congrat's Dixie!!
My wife and I are not retired yet (tired, but not retired)
but, we live in N Ga also (Gainesville) We ride all over, but on weekends usually stay in n ga, nc, east tenn area.
Cherahala Skyway is my favorite in this area, but n ga has some awesome riding, as well! We camp a lot, and sometimes pull our trailer; (roughing it gently!)

Congratulations dkdixie! I don't think you will be disappointed! I've had my'06 for 16 months now and couldn't be happier! Maybe some day when I get to ride in North GA, (gotta go through the hell called ATL to get there) we can meet.

Welcome aboard, dkdixie... Let me know how which risers and how they work out for you, ok? Been eye-balling the same. Curious how much rise and pull-back they "actually" have once installed and if you have any cable length issues.

Congrats on making an excellent choice on bikes... and exhaust! Is the '08 any different from the '05-'07's? You have the 2nd fastest Nomad, btw. If you had gotten the ALL black model, you'd have the fastest! True.

Best,
Daryl

Welcome dkdixie. Mine is an 05 and have enjoyed it from the very beginning. You will like the V&H baggers. I have them on mine.
