Lane Splitting

Staying with the "Darwin Awards" theme that the Fireworks accident thread is about, this one makes me cringe just watching it. I wonder if this guy is still around.

Some people wanna be number 1, even if it is the Darwin Awards. He is running on borrowed time. Someday he will face up with that drunk Russian driver who decides he should die for being in his lane.

That reminds me of the video of lane splitting in Tokyo that was floating around on utube a while back. Scary stuff.

At first I thought, Wow...this guy is a great rider. Then as the video continues
I decide that he is a suicidal maniac and that he is going to kill some innocent
person minding their own business, doing the right things. Glad he doesn't ride
the roads around here.

He definitely has some mad riding skills but what he is doing is definitely stupid. He will, in all likelihood, get hurt or worse.

That would be illegal in California too. Too much speed differential, too fast and riding the double yellow is a no no.

Here's the one from Japan. The speedo is in kilometres but still surprising how fast he gets going in between rows of trucks.
