Darkside installer in upstate S.C. ?

I need to replace the tires on my '99 Nomad. I was going to go with M/C tires, but I've read alot on here and the darkside site, and am now strongly considering putting a C/T on the back. Does anyone know of an installer around the Greenville/Anderson area of S.C.?

I saw this tire referenced in another thread on here, and am considering it http://www.onlinetires.com/products/...l+fd2+82h.html
I'd welcome any comments on this tire or suggestions.

I also need a new front tire, and am open to suggestions there as well, as far as what front/rear combo works better.

Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just trying to get all of this stuff figured out so I can get tires ordered and installed before spring.

That's the tire I'm running. I've put around 7000 miles on it since it went on in July. It still looks like new. I love it.

That Federal tire looks really good and at that price, wow. Sure beats $200 plus for a M/C tire. Who makes the Federal tire? I don't recall ever seeing Federal. At least not in a tire. Ammo yes.

If you can't find an installer I have one over here. Victori Cycleworks in Fort Mill SC. They put mine on for me. I rode in, brought the tire and 2 hours later I had a new Michelin Commander on the front and my CT on the back. Your only 115 miles away.

phred, checked the short list of installers on the Darkside database. Don't see one listed in your area. There is Extreme Yamy in Sumter that is listed.

Your only a couple hours from me. If you can't find an installer, there is one here in Blairsville. You could ship the car tire directly to them.....or to me.....schedule an appointment....ride over and have it installed. They are open half day on Saturdays if you do not have time available during the week.
Spend the night and I'll take you on some great roads to brake it in!!

As far as front tire, I would recommend Avon Cobra. I'm on my second Avon Cobra front with car tire, others here are running the same combo. I really like it!

Frank at Victori Cylce installed mine as well. He is very meticulous when it comes to working on bikes that's why he is the only one that works on mine besides me.
There is another place that is a little closer to Greenville,Mad Dog Customs in Lake Wylie will install it for you. 803-631-4113
