First time at paint AND putting pictures on my posts...

Started into a paint project. First time I have ever attempted paint. Two of these are after applying a coat of black over my graphic affect which is intended to look like scales. The paint going on is a knock off of House of Kolor chameleon paint. It color shifts from green to blue depending on the angle you are looking at it. You cant really see the finished part very well because there is still a paint fog in the air when I shot the photo.

It will look really good when your done, Im not sure if thats a project I would want to tackle. Me and painting don't play well together, I get frustrated and then start rushing to get it over with. Lets see it when its all done.

I think it is going to look real nice. What did you shoot over ??? Looks like you may have used a fishnet stocking.

That's really cool. I'm sure pictures can't do it justice.

I really like it.

Tell us more about the graphic and how it's applied if you don't mind.

Yep... it was a stocking. The top pick has the "color" without clear. It is called "green to blue" Green at the part your looking directly at and blue around the edges. You can tell on the top pick but not very well because I hadn't cleared it yet and the over spray was still in the air.

It kinda looks like Beezer had been hanging out in my shop huh?

Asking SWB for help is dangerous. Dakals is just dangerous, period.

The color shifting paint is usually two step with a black base and then the color. The color really isn't color it is more like a pearl. It looks like a green tinted liquid hand soap.

I but a base of silver on first. Pulled some fishnet pantie hose over the parts (Nico's finest was the brand I think) THEN shot the black. Pulled the hose off then shot the color... three coats of clear... wet sanded... buffed... yada yada yada.
